Ecclesiastical has been helping to protect the life and work of churches for 120 years. But we’ve always been committed to providing our customers with more than just insurance. We’re here for information, advice and support whenever our customers need us.
One of the ways we give something back to our Church customers is through the annual Church competition which has been running since 2002. The competition is designed to enable church communities to share great ideas connected to issues affecting churches today – such as fundraising, gathering support and making churches an integral part of their local communities.
2002 best parish website
2003 best kept churchyard
2004 best kept churchyard
2005 building your church for the future
2006 your church in a changing society
2007 most innovative fund raising idea
We then share the best ideas on our website and in our other parish communications to enable all parishes to benefit. You can find out some of the great tips on fundraising from last years competition by visiting www.ecclesiastical.com/fundraising
These competitions have traditionally attracted members of parochial church councils who have gone to great lengths to show case the wonderful work they do to support their local Church.
This year, we’re running a different kind of competition. Our aim is to broaden the competition’s appeal, and offer parishes and the wider church community a chance to show what they really believe.
We’re inviting people to make a one-minute film about the true meaning of Christmas. Entrants have the chance to win £3,000 for their church. Anyone of any age can take part, although all films will need to be endorsed from either a church leader or a youth group leader. As a result, we’re hoping this will draw new faces into the Church.
We see the competition as a fantastic way to raise the Church’s message, support the valuable work already taking place in the community and reinforce the core spiritual values of Christmas.
As we’d like as many entries as possible, please help us spread the word and encourage people to enter.
Thank you for supporting our competition and good luck with your entry!
